GRYPHON Aero Club in Kemble marked its first anniversary with a barbecue and a presentation on the weekend.
A total of 60 people turned up to enjoy the day at the flying school, based at Cotswold Airport, including members of the Flying Scholarship for Disabled People (FSDP).
Chief flying instructor John Griffin said it was a great day celebrating the first 12 months of the club.
"Fortunately the weather held off!" he said. "We had three guys complete their licenses and become private pilots. We had a good supply of visitors from FSDP too.
“All in all we’ve had a superb backing from Mark Gregory, the MD for Air Salvage International for helping us with the aircraft. Thank you for his continued and generous support.
The flying club, which is open to everyone, is also looking to buy a second aircraft in the future.
