A 16-year-old Cirencester model has been crowned (or tiara-ed) Miss Teen British Isles 2015.

Misha Grimes was selected from more than 2,500 applicants to reach the final of the beauty pageant in Liverpool.

Here, she outshone 40 other beauties to win the title by showing the “best model potential”.

She won £1,000 in cash, a holiday and modelling shoot in Marbella, a pageant dress, professional portfolio and her own website.

“Winning the title Miss Teen British Isles is a true privilege,” said Misha. “The crowning moment was overwhelming and one that I will treasure forever.

“I know I have an exciting year ahead of me but what I am looking forward to most is treating my mum with the winnings I received, as she had supported me on my journey and of course the modelling shoot in Marbella.”

Among the judges on the night were Big Brother stars Mark Byron and Rebeckah Vaughan.

Misha is represented by Model-Union Models in London and has appeared in Inspired Bride, Darkus Magazine and several clothing websites.

After moving to the Cotswolds aged seven and attending Ashton Keynes primary, Misha moved on to Stroud High.

She is now studying for her GCSEs and hopes to go to Gloucestershire College to learn about fashion and design.

Her dream is to train at London School of Fashion to become a fashion expert.

Misha lives at home with sister Anya, 18, mum Kasha, 53, dad John, 53, pet dog Alfie.
