TICKETS for the third annual history festival are being released at the start of next week but Malmesbury residents are being given the first chance to book.
The BBC History Magazine's history festival will return to the Malmesbury from October 15 to October 18 following the success of the past two years.
The same venues have been booked throughout the town including the Abbey, Town Hall and a marquee in Malmesbury Abbey’s Cloister Gardens.
Historians and authors including Michael Wood, Sir Ian Kershaw and Professor Diarmaid Macculloch will all be present at the event, along with many other speakers and activities for all to enjoy.
Ticket sales will be launched on May 11 and Malmesbury locals have been offered the opportunity to book tickets before general release since May 4.
