A WOMAN ran toward a car with a broken nose and blood on her shoe claiming that her husband had attacked her.
Police are appealing for help in tracing the young Stroud woman who asked the driver for help in Slad Road, Slad at about 9pm on Saturday, May 2.
The victim told the driver that she was a traveller and had only been married a week, but that her husband had hit her and broken her nose.
She said her husband was after her and wanted to be taken somewhere safe.
The driver took her to a nearby pub and called the police, but she left before officers arrived.
The woman, who did not give her name, had long, black hair and spoke with a soft Irish accent.
She was wearing a reddish-pink coat with a black turtle neck jersey and a gold necklace with a crucifix.
Customers at the pub said she had been on the phone before she left and was probably picked up.
Anyone with information or knows the woman's whereabouts is asked to call 101, quoting incident 451 of May 2.
