THERE was sunny skies and smiles all round at the Royal Agricultural University’s (RAU) fifth annual Scope Fun Day on Saturday.

The day was organised by the RAU Student Union for parents and children associated with the Cirencester branch of disability charity SCOPE and the Cotswold Downs Syndrome group, which support to individuals and families whose lives are touched by Downs Syndrome More than 30 families affiliated with SCOPE attended the day, which included a bouncy castle, face painting by Magic Masks from Stroud and entertainment from Bobo the Magic Clown, who delighted the children with a rabbit, balloon modelling and giant magic bubbles.

There was also a fire engine from Cirencester and a police car from the local station, BBQ food and tractor rides around the campus.

“It is always very humbling to be involved with this charity, and to spend time with these families and children,” said Sarah Tennant-Bell, RAU student support services manager.
