AFTER two days of closures there are now 36 spaces available in the Forum Car Park, Cirencester.

There are currently no pay and display machines so the spaces are free.

Free parking will be available at the council's Trinity Road car park (GL7 1PX) and at St James' Place (GL7 1FP) this weekend.

The machines should be operational at the end of tomorrow so motorists will need to pay on Saturday, April 18.

Work installing lights will continue in the rest of the car park and the contractor hopes to have more spaces available on Friday and Saturday.

Free parking signs will be displayed during this period.

The council plans a complete reopening of the Forum Car Park on Tuesday April 21.

This means that the car park will be closed completely at midnight on Saturday, April 18, and will remain unavailable on Sunday, April 19, and Monday, April 20.
