A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital yesterday evening following a crash near Cricklade that left him with a fractured pelvis and legs.
Wiltshire Police were called at 5.11pm on 8th April 2015 to Hayes Knoll in Purton Stoke, following a report of a crash involving a motorbike and a car.
Police officers, paramedics and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance rushed to the scene to help the injured male motorcyclist.
The biker was riding a red Triumph Bonneville America 865 and suffered a suspected fractured pelvis and fractured legs as a result of the collision.
He was flown to Southmead Hospital in Bristol via air ambulance.
The driver of the car, a grey Vauxhall Corsa, is not believed to have been injured.
The road was closed until 8pm while paramedics tended to the rider and recovery of both vehicles was arranged.
Any witnesses to the collision who have not already spoken to police, should call 101.
