CREATIVE youngsters at Powell’s School in Cirencester celebrated Easter by designing wonderful pictures, photographs and sculptures.
The children’s creations ranged from collage using mosaic techniques to fabric chicks hanging from branches, giant flower sculptures and miniature Lego worlds full of flowers and animals.
They were on display at an exhibition and were judged by Ali Russell, chief executive of New Brewery Arts, and Claire Walsh, education officer at the school.
Pip Young, a spokesman for the school, said: “Friends of Powell's School (group who support the school) would like to thank Ali Russell and Claire Walsh. They had a very enjoyable but difficult time choosing one piece from each class that they felt deserved special recognition. They were very impressed by the children's effort and creativity. They said ‘we wish we could have given more prizes’.
The exhibition of the children’s work took place on Friday, March 27 and raised over £150.
