TRIBUTES have been paid to the 41-year-old motorcyclist who died in a crash on the A40 in the Cotswolds yesterday.

Jason Baker, from Cheltenham, was killed when his motorbike collided with a car on the A40 near Sherborne just before noon.

He worked at engineering company Spirax Sarco in Cheltenham, and staff there have paid tribute to him.

A spokeswoman said: “It is with great sadness that we have received the news that one of our employees, Jason Baker, was killed in a motorcycle accident yesterday.

“Jason had worked for the company for nearly 25 years, having joined Spirax Sarco as an apprentice in September 1990, and was latterly employed as an assembly operator in our Tool Room at our Runnings Road site in Cheltenham.

“During his time with Spirax Sarco, Jason became a valued colleague and friend. He will be missed by us all.

“Our thoughts are with Jason’s family and close friends at this very difficult time.”
