THERE will be an extra 50 spaces available this Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the Forum Car Park.
Due to refurbishment work there are only 85 spaces available at the car park but the contractors, Griffiths, will free up another 50 to deal with the weekend rush.
There will also be another 15 available on Tuesday.
From Wednesday 8 April, Griffiths will try to maintain the 85 spaces capacity every day until the car park is closed completely on Sunday 19 and Monday 20 April to enable the application of a new tarmac surface and the relining of parking bays.
It is anticipated that, weather permitting, the car park will then be open from Tuesday, April 21, onwards, offering spaces for 191 cars, including 12 disabled spots.
Motorists should also be aware that they can use an additional 140 car parking spaces free of charge on Saturdays and Sundays at the Council’s Trinity Road headquarters (post code GL7 1PX) and this offer will also apply to Good Friday and Easter Monday as the offices are closed on those days.
