AN EXHIBITION of work from amateur photographers in the Malmesbury area will be held in the town hall starting this Saturday.
This is the first exhibition from the group of photographers, known locally as the Malmesbury Snappers, and came about after a last minute cancellation of another event.
Photos from the collection of Steve Berrow, Michael Freeth, Nick Holland, Andy Knowles, David Mitchell and Robert Peel will go on display with images ranging from local wildlife to the streets of Chernobyl in Ukraine.
Steve Berrow, the group’s organiser said: “Visitors to the gallery will be amazed at the stunning pictures of Kingfishers, Birds of Prey, Foxes, Deer and insects mostly taken in the fields and river valleys around Malmesbury,”
The group formed as an informal alternative to the traditional town or village camera club and meets once a month in one of Malmesbury’s pubs.
The free exhibition runs from Saturday March 28 until Thursday April 9 in the John Bowen Gallery, Malmesbury Town Hall.
