CHILDHOOD sweethearts from Cirencester celebrated their pearl anniversary this week by re-creating their wedding photo from 30 years ago.

Mark and Jane Milner, who both own and work at Corinium Movers, met when he was 18-years-old and she was 16. They married three years later in Cirencester on March 2 1985 with a huge reception party of 200 people at the former Cirencester Social Club.

Mark, now 49, worked at a van removal company at the time and his colleagues surprised him on his wedding day by bringing a huge van along to the celebration, with baked bean cans tied to it. He and his new wife Jane, now 47, were driven all around Cirencester while sitting in the back waving to passers-by.

The happy couple's eldest child Zoe says she believes her parents secret to a long, happy marriage is "love and tolerance".

"For their wedding anniversary they are going to Scotland for a holiday," she said. "They'll be driving there and back - a big adventure!"

Mark and Jane decided together to recreate their wedding photo and set up the shot in the back of one of their own moving vans. They started up Corinium Movers three years ago.

"It's been my dad's life long dream to own his own removal company and it is doing incredibly well," added Zoe. "My mum also owns and runs the company plus she helps at Cirencester Lettings with her friend Michelle Milliner."

Mark and Jane have always lived in Cotswolds. They spent their childhood in Cirencester, both attending Kingshill School, and the early years of their married life before moving to Quenington for 10 years. They returned to the town several years ago.

They have three children, Zoe, 29, Emma, 27, and Jack, 20 and also three grandchildren from Zoe; Harry, 8, Maisy, 5 and Isla, 2.
