THERE are long delays on the M5 after a major collision left a car on its roof.
A silver Nissan Qashqai, driven by a 34-year-old Birmingham man, overturned at junction 9 northbound at about 5.45am today.
He was taken by ambulance to Southmead Hospital in Bristol at about 7.30am with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
A full closure was put on between junction 11 and junction nine northbound while the fire service cut the man out of the vehicle.
The vehicle is due to be recovered shortly and one lane is now open around the collision.
Police are investigating the collision and urging anyone who witnessed the crash but has not yet come forward to call 101 and quote incident 52 of March 3.
