A 47-YEAR-OLD Malmesbury man was pronounced dead on the weekend after his body was found on a railway line near Oaksey.
Wiltshire police and South Western Ambulance service rushed to the railway line at 1.40pm on Saturday, February 28, after reports of a body on the line. The man was declared dead at the scene.
A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said: “We were called to the line at a disused station in Oaksey at 1.40pm on Saturday, 28 February, following a report of a body on the line.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and the man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained.
“His family has been informed, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
