A HUGE Boeing 747 aircraft fuselage was transported from Cotswold Airport in Kemble to Hereford on Saturday, escorted by police officers.
This is the second aircraft fuselage which has been escorted by Wiltshire Police in the last two weeks, as an identical load was transported last weekend.
Motorists were warned that there could be delays on the Saturday, as the specialised transporters carrying the aircraft along the A419 took up the entire southern carriageway.
Each transporter and its load measured 22 feet wide, more than 16 feet high and with an overall length of 137 feet. It also weighed 60 tonnes.
Due to the size of these transporters they were extremely slow moving and caused some congestion.
