A SANDWICH shop in Cirencester suffered an attempted break-in earlier this week, as vandals smashed the front window with stones.
Police were called at around 7.45am yesterday as the owners of the shop, based in The Waterloo, discovered the smashed window.
The incident is believed to have taken place between 4.30am and 7.45am on Wednesday, January 28.
Stones had been thrown at the front shop window, causing it to shatter.
Around £200 worth of damage had been caused.
Staff at Peppers did not let the attempted break-in dampen their spirits though. They announced the news on Facebook, adding that "no sandwiches were harmed."
Any witnesses are urged to call police on 101 mentioning incident number 37 of January 28.
