A 44-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Zac Evans in Tuffley on Saturday.

Ewen Anthony Reynolds, 44 and of Foley Close, Tuffley, will appear before magistrates in Cheltenham today (Tuesday) charged with Zac's murder and attempted murder of a second man during the same incident.

Zac died after being stabbed with a machete outside The Pike and Musket pub in Windsor Drive, Tuffley, shortly before 12.40am on Saturday, January 24.

Detective chief inspector Steve Porter said: "Although a man has now been charged the investigation is still in its early stages and I continue to appeal to anyone with information to call Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident 12 of January 24.

"Once again, I can reassure people that we do not believe the motive for this murder to be linked to terrorism."
