RESIDENTS who took part in voting for a new street name in Northleach have chosen Bicknell Close as their favourite.
160 votes were cast for the former Fortey Road, which will see a new housing development built on the old Fortey House site.
Ideas for new names were submitted to Cotswold District Council, including Woodland Rise and Bradley Close.
The most popular suggestion was after local wool merchant William Bicknell, who was responsible for building the south chapel of the church. Mr Bicknell died in 1500.
Developer Bromford Housing Association will be running an open session soon for anyone who would like more information.
The first residents are expected to move in during March, June and July this year.
