POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two women were injured in a crash on the A417 at Ampney Crucis last night.
The crash was between a Red Vauxhall Corsa, driven by a 19-year-old woman from Cirencester who was travelling towards Fairford, and a red Ford Fiesta, driven by a 65-year-old woman from Fairford who was travelling towards Cirencester.
The incident happened at 7.30pm on Thursday, January 8.
Both women were taken by ambulance to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon where the 19-year-old was treated for a head injury. She has since been released from hospital. The 65-year-old woman was treated for minor injuries.
The road remained closed for several hours whilst officers from the tri-force specialist operations collaboration conducted a thorough investigation of the scene.
