DISAPPOINTED parents took to Twitter last night to vent their frustration over the final unexpected closure of Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen designed attraction The Magical Journey.
The organisers posted an explanation and apology to their website saying that as of today the site would be closed and that people would have to begin sourcing their own refunds.
They wrote: “We are truly sorry. After all we’ve been through having to shutdown in the final week is devastating. Although we had quite the time of it in the press and on social media, feedback was great with over 600 four and five star reviews.
“However, today a key financial backer has dropped out leaving us in the lurch. We have tried desperately over the last few hours to find a replacement but to no avail.”
The attraction was plagued by complaints from day one and closed temporarily in November to address several issues before being reopened.
Nine days before Christmas the event has now closed for good and customers are being told to contact their debit or credit card provider for a refund.
The organisers asked disgruntled customers not to contact The Belfry Hotel as they have no affiliation to the Magical Journey will not be able to help.
Late last night designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen tweeted the company saying: “Just heard the news and I'm appalled.”
