FRAUDSTER Kathy Gibney claimed she had cancer and desperately needed cash to feed her son to con people into loaning her money.
The 40-year-old from Cirencester lied to two men and one woman to get a total of £365.
She promised to repay the money and wrote cheques, but cancelled them before they were cashed.
Gibney, of Parry Close, admitted three charges of fraud by false representation at Stroud Magistrates’ Court today.
She borrowed £190 from one man, £150 from another and £25 from a woman, the court heard.
Gibney told all three that she had been diagnosed with cancer and needed money to feed her six-year-old son and heat her home.
She will be sentenced at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on January 6 and has been bailed until then.
