OFFICERS have revealed which businesses in Cirencester and South Cerney illegally sold alcohol to a young person, during a police test.
Gloucestershire Police officers made test purchases of alcohol at two premises in Cirencester, one in Colesbourne and one in South Cerney, but all places failed the test.
A young person, accompanied by an officer in plain clothes, attempted to buy alcohol in The Golden Farm Inn, near the Beeches estate, The Brewers Arms on Cricklade Street, The George pub in South Cerney and the Colesbourne filling station in Colesbourne.
He was sold the alcohol in all four places. He was not asked his age nor for ID.
Members of staff at each premises were required to pay £90 penalties.
A police spokesman has confirmed that a similar test will be running soon.
