A RESTAURANT in Cirencester is opening their doors to the homeless this Christmas Eve.
Award-winning game restaurant Eat Wild will be closing to the general public on the evening of December 24 and inviting in those who might not have anywhere to go for the festive season.
Brothers Will and Calum Thompson will serve a traditional Christmas dinner for all the guests. A large turkey was donated by Butts Farm in South Cerney as well as a large Christmas cake from the Baker Brothers.
Will said this is something both he and his brother have wanted to do for a while.
"Now that we have our own restaurant, we are delighted to be in the position that we can cater for the homeless from there," he said. "It’s very important to us that we do as much as we can to support our local community."
Eat Wild staff and volunteers will be giving their time to help the Thompson brothers serve the meal on the night.
