AUTOMATIC refunds are being issued to those affected by the unexpected closure of The Magical Journey, a creation of Cotswold celebrity Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

The attraction’s opening weekend was fraught with problems an it closed over the weekend due to problems caused by rain.

After an outcry on Twitter about the closure and concerns about refunds The Magical Journey’s website was updated with an explanation.

It read: “Following our opening this weekend, we have taken our customer feedback seriously and this, combined with the recent weather conditions has resulted in us taking the difficult decision to temporarily close The Magical Journey from Sunday 23rd November to Tuesday 25th November, reopening on Wednesday 26th November.

“We will take this time to ensure that improvements to the journey are made so that we can reopen with an experience that is truly magical for all.”

Anyone who booked a ticket for between the November 23 and November 25 should have been contacted by phone and refunds for unusable tickets will be refunded automatically.

Organiser apologised for any delays in responding to queries but reassured potential visitors that they will reopen on Wednesday, November 26 and in the mean time can be contacted at support@magicaljourney.co.uk.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen was asked to create a ‘North Pole Outpost’ for The Belfry Resort just north of Birmingham, which is the venue for the Christmas journey.
