TRENDY bar and cafe chain Loungers is planning to open a branch in Cirencester town centre.

It would be called Toro Lounge and take over the empty former Milletts store in Cricklade Street.

It would be open from 8am to midnight Monday to Saturday, closing half an hour earlier on Sunday.

Loungers currently has 45 branches nationwide, including Portivo Lounge at Gloucester Quays.

It has applied to Cotswold District Council for permission to transform the empty shop, with a date for a decision not yet set.
