A DORSET man has died after colliding with a tree near Minety.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was driving a white Volkswagen Passat along Ashton Road towards Minety at 3.06pm on Friday.
A member of the public who had driven down the road alerted police after the crash, which was attended by PC Lee Prince.
He said: “A white Volkswagen Passat was seen being driven a long Ashton Road towards Minety.
“A short while later the same witnesses saw the car had struck a tree. Unfortunately the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Any witnesses to the collision are being urged to make contact with the officer involved in the case PC Barum or to call 101 quoting the log number 212 of November 14.
