STAFF at a Malmesbury hotel have been rewarded for top personal service.

Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa shone at the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards as two members of staff came away with top honours.

The awards recognise the most dedicated staff members in the boutique hotel industry.

Whatley Manor's spa manager Carol Osborne picked up the prize for Spa Manager of the Year while front of house manager Emma Dreano was awarded Front of House Manager of the Year.

Whatley Manor’s general manager Gurval Durand expressed his delight at the honours and congratulated both members of staff.

"We are so proud that their hard work and enthusiasm has been rewarded," he said.

After months of nominations the awards, which were launched to coincide with Boutique Hotelier magazine’s first birthday, were unveiled in front of more than 200 industry professionals from hotels across the country.

Accolades were awarded to the top employees in nine roles, with the winners invited on stage to collect their prize.
