A NEW catering business is cooking up a storm in the Cotswolds.

The Cotswold Kitchen, launched by Rob Hopkins, offers locally-sourced canapes, buffets and feasts for weddings, birthdays, Christmas parties and more.

Owner Rob used to be a primary school teacher in Swindon but has since set up the business in near Daglingworth, just on the outskirts of Cirencester, with his partner Bea Wilson.

"Cooking has something I've been interested in," said Rob. "I took a cooking course last year and now I'm hoping it's all going to take off."

The Cotswold Kitchen caters for a variety of different events and offers a wide range of food from all over the world, including Punjabi chicken kebabs with a spicy dip and Bouillabaisse style seafood platter in tomato, fennel and white wine with saffron sauce.

The company describes their ethos as 'thoughtful food for every occasion'.

"I love travelling," added Rob, who catered for his first event for the firm in May this year. "I've done a few cooking courses in Asia."

The former Kingshill pupil also does a lot of work for charity, recently taking on a 200-mile cycling challenge with friends to raise money for charities Prostate Cancer UK and the North Cerney School Big Project.
