THE Countess Bathurst is supporting young people with disabilities by becoming patron of National Star.
Based at Ullenwood, the National Star College works with young people with disabilities and learning difficulties to empower them to make the most of their lives.
The Earl and Countess Bathurst held a drinks reception at Cirencester Park as part of the £516,000 public appeal to fit out the college’s new specialist residential house being built in Cheltenham.
“Every comfort and every dignity has been done for the students and love and warmth exudes from the students and staff at National Star,” said Lady Bathurst.
“As one of my friends described it, National Star is one of the best finishing schools in the England. It helps students learn to live as young adults and to fulfil important roles in society.”
“We are delighted that Countess Bathurst has become our patron,” said director of fundraising at National Star Kate Green.“She brings a passion and an enthusiasm to ensure that the young people we work with get the best start in life as young adults.”
