RESEARCH into how content people are at different ages has revealed that British people tend to become happier with age.
The study pinpointed the happiest year in a person’s life as 58, with 79 per cent of respondents of that age saying that they felt satisfied with their current work/life balance compared with an average of 66 per cent.
A huge 72 per cent of 58-year-olds rated their lifestyle as good or very good 22 per cent more than the average.
Those aged 58 were also t he most likely to take a proper lunch hour and also the most likely to work their contracted hours, with 45% saying they did not work any unpaid overtime.
The study by Samsung Electronics assessed the lifestyles of 2,000 British respondents and had some interesting results.
The survey also revealed that 35 is the age when we feel the most stressed, with many citing a lack of a work/life balance, particularly when they had young families.
