A RIVERSIDE pub has been sold to new owners for an asking price of £1.85 million freehold.

The Inn at Fossebridge, in between Cirencester and Bourton-on-the-Water has been taken on by hospitality sector veteran Dee Ludlow and her partner Geoff Collins, after hospitality specialist Peter Brunt from Colliers International sold the popular and successful business.

New owner Dee began her career with the Metropole group in London, Brighton and Birmingham and was general manager of The Chelsea Hotel in Knightsbridge and The Londonderry on Park Lane, She also ran Hintlesham Hall Hotel in Suffolk for 10 years.

"We will be focusing on casual dining, presenting a range of familiar dishes to the highest possible standards," said Dee. "A new kitchen team has been brought in to ensure guests enjoy a genuinely memorable dining experience."

Dee went on to say that she and her partner were able to take over the inn five weeks earlier than planned thanks to an informal agreement with the previous owner.

"This has enabled us to really hit the ground running," she said.

Peter Brunt described The Inn at Fossebridge as well respected across the region.

"There is considerable scope for further development," he said. "If your tastes run to roaring fires, Cotswold stone and unique lakeside views the Inn at Fossebridge should be on your must-do list."
