A TETBURY hotel and restaurant is serving up a feast of seasonal specials while raising money to support services at Tetbury Hospital.

The Ormond, on Long Street, Tetbury is celebrating the best of the Cotswold’s harvest and offering a special Farmers’ Feast menu until 19 October.

Offering two or three courses for lunch or dinner, the Farmers’ Feast menu provides a delicious range of locally-sourced meals including Long Newton venison and cranberry pie, potted Gloucestershire pheasant and salmon, cod and smoked haddock fishcakes with wilted spinach and Sherston poached eggs. Options for vegetarians on the seasonal menu include roasted butternut squash soup with a goat’s cheese crouton and a root vegetable and leek gratin with smoked cheese, with vegetables sourced from local farms, allotments and the weekly farmers’ markets in Cirencester and Stroud.

For every customer enjoying a meal from the Farmers’ Feast, the Ormond will make a donation to the Friends of Tetbury Hospital.

Owner of the Ormond, Adrienne Bailey said: “Autumn is a wonderful time of year for restaurateurs, with an abundance of glorious vegetables and fruits available to our chefs to create colourful, wholesome and tasty dishes. We pride ourselves on using local produce and all of our food is grown or reared as close to Tetbury as possible. As the evenings draw in, why not drop by for dinner and enjoy our freshly-prepared food by a cosy fire? And for every meal from our Farmers’ Feast menu, we will donate to support the excellent services offered on our doorstep by Tetbury Hospital.”

The Farmers’ Feast menu costs £17.95 for two courses and £22.95 for three courses and runs alongside the Ormond’s regular menus. To find out more, or to book please visit the website at
