A TREE was planted in memory of a man that worked to preserve trees on the Bathurst Estate.
Arthur Lloyd, was both head forester at the estate and chairman of the Royal Forestry Society.
At an event at the estate, Arthur's widow Yvonne, his family and members of the Royal Forestry Society Gloucestershire division attended the planting of a Redwood, one of Arthur’s favourite trees.
Members of the Royal Forestry Society also joined The Earl Bathurst for a morning tour of the College Plots, planted for study purposes in the early 1900s.
The day was completed with presentations by the group and refreshments in the estate’s Polo Clubhouse.
