A ROAD in Cirencester is currently closed due to a crash on the Kemble-Siddington crossroads.

Police were called at 10.10am to a crash between a Toyota Corolla van and a Citroen car.

The man in the car was trapped in his vehicle and had to be cut free.

Both police and an ambulance attended the scene.

Both drivers received minor injuries. The van driver was treated for minor leg injuries and the Citroen driver was taken to hospital with whiplash.

The road is closed from Ashton Road in Siddington all the way to the Siddington-Kemble crossroads.

The Highways Agency has been informed.

A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police could not say when the road would be re-opened.
