FAMOUS children's author Michael Morpurgo will be coming to Cirencester at the end of this month to talk to children about his new First World War novel.

The War Horse author will be attending a special event, organised by Octavia's Bookshop, at the Corn Hall in Cirencester on the evening of Tuesday, September 30.

"It's going to be amazing," said Octavia Karavla, owner of Octavia's Bookshop on Black Jack Street. "Michael is like second to JK Rowling in children's authors. I absolutely can't wait."

Octavia will be at the event, which starts at 6.30pm, and is planning to set up a display of the author's books. Michael will be talking to guests on the night about his new novel Listen to the Moon which is due to come out two days before.

Due to an arm injury he is unable to sign copies of his books but there will be an opportunity for guests to meet and greet with the author and printed bookplates with his signature on will be available.
