THE Greyhound Inn in Siddington has raised £2,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society during their Pickled Dog beer and music festival.

Over two days and nights the festival gave the people of Siddington a taste of local musical talent and a few real ales and ciders as a bonus.

As well as draining barrels of beer the guest managed to devour two whole roasted hogs, over 400 burgers and at least 150 hotdogs across the weekend.

Landlord and organiser Chris Wright said: “It was really good and really well supported, with 18 hours of live music over two days and a number of market stalls outside.”

“We even did a small balloon launch where we wrote messages on tags for loved ones and tied them to the bottom of the balloons, which we then released on the Sunday afternoon.”

Chris thanked staff and volunteers and sponsors, who all worked together to make the event possible.
