Organisers have hinted that the diamonds will be hidden at an array of different locations in Cheltenham, ranging from public parks to hotels and shops.

Special luxury treasure maps are already available to buy at Beards on the Promenade and Maggie's Cancer Centre on College Baths Road, priced at £10 each.

The maps will direct people to a the general area where they can start their search on September 13.

Also Clue Makers, in special Maggie's uniforms will be at points across the town on Saturday, September 13, when the hunt takes place, to offer more clues for a £5 donation.

If all diamonds are not found on the Saturday, the event will run on until Sunday as well.
