HUNTERS Care Centre in Cirencester has raised almost £800 for charity following a fundraising fete earlier in the year.
Steve Chamberlain one of the organisers of the event said: “We managed to raise just under £800 for the Air Ambulance, our Residents’ Fund and for our charity the Barchester Foundation.”
“The air ambulance often gets forgotten about as people think it’s part of the NHS.”
He added: “We were helped by the weather – it all went like clockwork really.”
The day included a classic car show, birds of prey on display, a barbecue and various stalls including hook a duck.
Residents and family members were delighted by the attractions and several helped out with organising and running the event.
Steve thanked Sarah Vizor and Olive Flannagan for their help during the event and for their continued support of the home.
