AFTER a well-earned break Cirencester’s Brewery Blues is back on September 12 with The Keith Thompson Band launching their new album Catch the Fire.
This last year has been very busy for Keith. Following the release of his live album Snapshot of Reality on the European label Brambus Records, he has performed with his band at many noteworthy blues festivals.
His band consists of Neil Simpson a highly accomplished bass player and a regular member of the legendary Climax Blues Band, John Mayall, Ruby Turner, Peter Green and Roy Wood, while drummer Roy Adams also from Climax Blues Band has appeared with Steve Gibbons Band, Ruby Turner, Roy Wood and many others.
There will also be support from Ciren rockers Landslide who recently celebrated two years together. They have played a range of dates from the famous Fleece in Bristol to most of the better local venues and have just tasted their first studio recording session. The band writes most of its own material as well as performing a selection of well-chosen covers. Last time they were in Cirencester they rocked the brewery and will aim for a similar reception this time round at New Brewery Arts, Brewery Court, 7.45pm -11pm.
