PLANS to build 120 homes in Tetbury are being opposed by the town’s council.
Developer Redrow Homes has submitted plans to build the homes on the 9.81 acre site off Hampton Street.
A supporting statement with the application reads: “The Hampton Street site at Tetbury is a sustainable location and is available for development now. New housing in this location would help to contribute to growth in the local and wider economy of this part of the Cotswolds.”
But Tetbury Town Council do no see the benefits of the proposal and are likely to object to it.
Stephen Hirst, of the town’s council said: “I do not think we will be approving it at all, we decided this weeks ago. We have enough houses in Tetbury.”
