A MAN who committed a lewd act and then followed a family is being hunted by police.

The incident happened in Tindercombe Woods, just off Tindercombe Lane between 2.40pm and 2.50pm on Saturday August 9.

A 50-year-old woman from Cheltenham was walking her dogs with her daughter and niece when they saw a man lying down in an open area in the woods committing a lewd act.

The man then got up and began following the group as they walked to their car, before walking into Tindercombe Lane in the direction of Herberts Road.

The man is described as white, between 35 and 45-years old, around 5ft 10ins tall and of stocky build.

He was bald headed and wearing a royal blue running vest, blue or black running shorts and blue trainers.
