TWO men have been charged in connection with a daytime burglary during which £1200 was taken from an elderly man's home while he was present.
Mathew James Pettit, 28, and of no fixed abode, was charged with burglary and handling stolen goods while Allen James King, 35 and of Shergar Close, Abbeydale, was charged with burglary in connection with the case.
They were remanded in custody and will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court today Friday, August 8.
The charges relate to a daytime burglary at a multi-occupancy address in Pembroke Street in Gloucester on Tuesday, August 5.
Police managed to recover the stolen property shortly after the incident after carrying out a stop and search.
