POTHOLES on Cirencester’s Park Street are to be repaired by Gloucestershire County Council.
A letter in the Standard last week highlighted that the potholes had been left in the road despite recent work by Thames Water which disturbed the road.
Cllr Vernon Smith, cabinet member for highways, said: “Road surface improvements in Park Street have started as part our ongoing resurfacing programme across the county.
“The work follows Thames Water to minimise long-term disruption for local people, businesses and road users.
“This is great news for the community and I’m confident that road users will be delighted with the results.”
In order to reduce congestion in the town centre the works will be carried out every Sunday until August 17.
