Council grants available for budding Olympians
WILTSHIRE Council is offering talented athletes a chance to apply for funding to reach their sporting goals.
The new grant will give £500 to 10 young talented athletes who are between 8-16 years of age and are competing at a regional or national development squad level.
The Funding Future Olympians and Paralympians Sports Scholarship will be run in conjunction with local businesses to provide training, equipment and travel expenses to promote the legacy of London 2012.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday, September 19 with application forms available from http://www.fundingfutureolympians.org.uk/
