THERE are only a few more days left to take part in Gloucestershire County Council’s consultation on public services.

Over 2,000 people have already given their views on their priorities, following the council’s proposals to save £75million over the next three years.

The consultation can be found at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/togetherwecan, which contains animations explaining the change in focus, especially for social care.

The final roadshow allowing people to express their views in person will take place in Gloucester town centre on Friday, August 1 from 10am to 4pm.

Residents have until Monday 4th August, to tell the council what they think in person or online.

Cllr Mark Hawthorne, Leader of Gloucestershire County Council, said: “What we’re looking at here is the most significant change in how we provide support this council has ever seen.

“We simply cannot afford to carry on as we are and if we’re to avoid making cuts wherever possible we need to think differently about how support can be provided.

“There’s still a few days left for anyone who hasn’t taken part to have their say – if you haven’t please visit the website or come along to the Gloucester roadshow as the changes we’re looking at will affect everyone.”
