A SPECIAL art exhibition is coming to one of Cirencester's well-known pubs.

Artventure, a company that specialises in event space and promotion of new artists, and The Stag Gallery, a traditional gallery on Black Jack Street are joining forces to put on an exhibition of contemporary Cotswold and classic canvas art.

The exhibition, titled Remixing Imagination, will be held at a brand new function room in the Crown pub and will be open daily 12-6pm until August 2. It started yesterday.

Crown owners Bill and Gail Daley are keen to show their new room is for more than just business conferencing and parties.

"So far we have had a lot of interest from people wanting to look at it as a wedding venue as this is what it was initially used for but it can host so much," said Bill.

"This is just the first of a series of events we hope to put on up there including an evening of live jazz."
