A BUSINESS group in Cirencester is gearing up to release its brand new, modern website and is already starting to draw in more members after showing a sneak preview of it this month.

The group, the Cirencester Chamber of Commerce is made up of businesses all across the town. Each year the chamber celebrates companies with a prestigious awards ceremony as well as undertaking monthly meetings to talk about how businesses can be promoted or improved in the area.

Anthony Flynn was re-elected as president of the chamber for another year at this month’s AGM. He closed the meeting by giving members and guests a sneak preview of the new website.

The website, created by committee members Athena Web Design and May Media is due to launch this September and is a lot easier to use, more colourful and contains information on every business involved in the chamber.

Anyone thinking of joining the chamber will be able to take advantage of the newly thought-out gold, silver and bronze membership levels. Members opting for the gold membership will receive their own page on the new website, with photos, a video, links, logos and any extra documents they want to add to promote their business.

Chamber secretary Karen Gaisford said: “We are still working on the final details and will let members know as soon as the finished version is ready for everyone to see.”

Talks of a new website have been in place for years and committee members are now overjoyed that the hard work has paid off. Currrent members are now urged to send in their information to secretary@ccoc.org.uk to be used on the site.
