THE English National Sheepdog Trials will be held at Broadfield Farm in Northleach from August 15-17 this year.
The English National is the most prestigious event in the sheepdog trialling calendar and attracts interest throughout the UK and abroad.
Visitors have the opportunity to camp overnight during the three-day event. There is also free parking, grandstand seating and a large food marquee with a wide range of food and drink. Organisers are expecting up to 3,000 people on each of the three days.
The top 150 qualifying dogs and their handlers will compete for one of 15 places in the England team to go on to represent their country in this year’s International. The top 5 from each day at the trials make the team.
Entry is £5 per person with those aged 14 and under going in free. The competition starts at 7.30am every day and usually continues past 6pm.
