YOUNGSTERS from a Tetbury school are celebrating after netting another title.

The Lions netball team from St Mary’s Primary School won all four matches of the South Gloucestershire championships in Bristol and were crowned champions on July 11.

The latest accolade follows them winning the Gloucestershire County Championship at Cheltenham College in March.

A spokesman for the school, Lyn Pressman said: “Many of the team will be leaving St Mary’s in September to move on to their secondary schools, however they will be continuing to compete as a St Mary’s alumni team in local competitions and they will take with them the memories of being the best primary school netball team across two counties.”

The Lions have been training and playing together for over three years under their coach Kate Harper.
