POLICE are urging people to be on the lookout for a gold rosary necklace stolen in a house burglary last night.

The item of jewellery, which is of high sentimental value to the victim, was taken along with a black HP Compaq laptop and £200.

Unknown offenders entered the house in Betjeman Close through an insecure window and stole the property while the homeowner was asleep.

The victim discovered the break-in on waking up at 7am yesterday (Friday, July 25).

Anyone who has seen the necklace or has any information about the crime should call 101, quoting incident 63 of July 25.
